This Multi-level, 2d cultural gaming experience is based on Kabi Kabi country in South East of QLD. Using traditional knowledge passed down for generations we have created a world where the player can run, play, hunt, and learn all at the same time.
Buangan is to compete in the Bunya Dreaming, a large festival that This story is set long, long ago, long before the buildings long before the roads and even before your house was here. Kabi Kabi lived, learned and loved on there traditional lands. They have many stories about how things came to be, many customs and celebrations. One such celebration is the Bunya Dreaming!!! The biggest celebration of the year, one where many people world come, people from far away, people from across the great continent that we now call Australia. They would come and compete in the Bunya games. Buangan, is coming of age, he is graduating from child to man! Its his turn to compete in the games just like his farther and grand father before him. But Ninderry, a leader from the north has not forgotten the loss of last year’s games, and he has not forgotten the anger he felt when he lost to Buangan's farther. He has to stop him from winning! In his anger, he cursed the people, taken control of the Wongi (snakes) and will stop at nothing to sabotage the games so he can win!

In Djaa, the land offers many plants that serve as both food and medicine. These natural resources are essential to your survival and success in the game. To make it through, you must learn about the plants and their uses. Without this knowledge, you won’t be able to continue your journey—survival depends on it.
Bunya Cones
Bunya Cones are not just a food source, but a valuable commodity in Djaa. You can eat them to restore energy, but their true value lies in their use as currency. Collect as many as you can to trade for items, feed your friends and family, and gain the resources you need to succeed.
Hunting and Sharing
Master the boomerang for hunting, but remember: hunting is not for sport. Only hunt for food, and always share your catch with others. The spirit of generosity and respect for the land is at the heart of this world, and the choices you make will impact your journey.
